Challenge
Retail investors wanted a glanceable ticker without opening an app. The hardware had to survive a desk, a shipping crate and four years of firmware updates — at a consumer price point.
Solution
We took the product from breadboard to production: ESP32-S3 board design, a display stack tuned for legibility at three metres, an MQTT quote pipeline with per-device throttling, and OTA flashing that can be staged to a single unit or the whole fleet.
Results
Twelve thousand units shipped across three revisions, with update campaigns landing at 99.4% first-attempt success and a support load one part-time engineer can hold.
